Legendary Nikon Optics

The AP-8 has a minimum focusing distance of up to 2.46 feet, allowing for better performance in tight spots or on steep slopes. With a built-in magnetic dampened compensator, this survey and construction tool levels the line of site within the range of ±16 arc-minutes and an accuracy of 0.5 arc-second. For working in extremely confined spaces, its detachable eyepiece lets you use an optional diagonal eyepiece prism. 

Quick Setup and Operation

Featuring a large focusing knob and horizontal tangent knobs with unlimited range, you can operate the Nikon AP-8 with either hand to ensure precise pointing and angular measurement. Its horizontal circle is clearly marked 360 degrees and it can be attached to both flat and spherical-head tripods.

Rugged and Water Resistant

With an IP-52 rating, you can use the AP-8 auto level in light rain or dusty conditions. Compact and lightweight, it also features a friction brake that eliminates the need for horizontal alignment clamps, allowing for rapid rotation.
